HEAVY-handed cops interrogated a mum playing with her daughter on a seafront — over a 999 call saying the tot was COLD.

The two officers pounced on nutritionist Paula Andrew, 43, as she walked with nine-month-old Maddy.
Paula fumed: “They said they’d had an anonymous call saying there was a little girl on the promenade and she was cold.”
She tried to laugh it off, explaining Maddy was well wrapped up in woolly tights, boots, leggings and an all-in-one vest beneath a long-sleeved fleecy top.
But the cops continued to quiz her for 20 minutes, demanding to know her name. When she refused, one said: “So, you don’t want to co-operate?”
Paula, who lives in Scarborough, North Yorks, with hubby Mike, 49, and two other kids aged 12 and 14, said: “I told them it was a mother’s right to play with her daughter, then walked off. A child playing out on a cold day is not unhealthy.”
She added: “It can take over an hour for cops to turn up if I complain about yobs, but call them about a cold baby and they race to the prom.”
Paula is thinking of making a formal complaint.
Last night, a North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “All reports concerning safety of children are taken very seriously.”
