Blonde kills herself over ‘ginger’ hairdo
She changed her hair at least five more times, but was still unhappy with how it looked.
Frankie later sent a text to a friend saying: “I really don’t feel good about anything, it is all taking its toll with my hair. I cannot cope.”
Distraught boyfriend Sam Cotton told the inquest in Flax Bourton, near Bristol: “She was uncontrollably upset and wouldn’t listen when I said it was OK. It took over her life.”
Office worker Frankie, of Thornbury, Gloucs, was diagnosed with depression and underwent therapy, but refused to take the antidepressant medication she was prescribed.
Neither her doctor or psychologists believed she was a risk to herself, the hearing was told.
Frankie skipped work in May last year and bombarded hairdresser Kelly Hill with more than 50 texts asking for her to dye her hair again.
But she “hated” the result and drove 80 miles to remote woodland in Sedgley, West Mids, and hanged herself.
Assistant coroner Terence Moore recorded a conclusion that Frankie took her own life.
